A Few Mornings in Maine
We went up to Maine last weekend to see Josh's mom and her friend. We go up every August and always look forward to it. There is something about the air in Maine, and the boats and the landscape that just put a smile on my face. It was cool for August, but sunny. We got to go on a studio tour and saw some great artists and studios, one was on the St. George River and was just incredible... you almost felt ON the water in her studio. Being up there makes me feel like a child because there is so much room for imagination and adventure. Josh and I got to go sea kayaking, it's been a while since I've paddled, I felt out of shape.
Aidan loved seeing his grandma and I *think* he liked Maine. He wasn't too thrilled with the long drive up, but he did super, he loves when you sing to him in the car :) Though Josh and I had kid songs stuck in our heads for a few days.
I hope to continue to make Maine a regular part of our summer and I can't wait for Aidan to use his imagination up there and enjoy some adventures.
Here's a few photos from the weekend:
